Volleyball is more than a just a game; it is a tool to develop the person on and off the court.

Garden State Volleyball Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates under the fundraising arm of Garden State Elite Volleyball Club (GSEVC) and is dedicated to bridging the gap caused by financial burden and lack of access to those interested in playing volleyball in northern New Jersey.

We aim to elevate volleyball in our area using a 3-part approach:

  1. Developing Elite Players

    1. Providing financial aid for travel players who can not afford the expenses of club volleyball which can include: training, travel, uniform, equipment and tournament fees.

    2. Introducing the game at earlier points of life to allow for earlier skill development and passion for the sport.

    3. Offering programming at little to no cost to provide opportunities for players to play without barriers to access and minimizing the financial burden on families.

    4. Working with school administrators to create volleyball programs in their schools where there currently are none provided.

    5. Elite players should also aspire to be Elite people. With this in mind, we will also help with professional development by supporting our recipients through mentorship, opportunities for personal growth, and as future professionals in the next levels of this sport and the work place.

  2. Creating Future Coaches

    1. Providing volunteer training opportunities for athletes and new coaches to work with young players.

    2. Connecting higher level/upperclassmen youth with younger players and developing mentorship programming and opportunities.

    3. Working directly with established programs to mentor their coaching development.

    4. Connecting coaches with job opportunities.

  3. Inspiring Future Officials

    1. Fostering compassion for the role.

    2. Connecting future officials to opportunities of employment and proper training.

    3. Potentially funding collegiate athletes to become certified as a source of income.
